Rev. Dr. Terry Johnson

REV. DR. TERRY JOHNSON is the Senior Minister of the historic Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia, in which capacity he has served since 1987. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Trinity College Bristol, UK, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, and Erskine Theological Seminary in conjunction with the Institute of Reformed Worship. In 1993 Dr. Johnson was named the convener and then chairman of the General Assembly’s committee on Psalm-singing (PCA). Among the fruit of their labors was the Trinity Psalter, of which he was the editor and compiler. He has also published many books and articles on worship including Leading in Worship, a source-book for Presbyterian ministers; The Pastor’s Public Ministry; The Family Worship Book, a resource book for family devotions; Reformed Worship: Worship that Is According to Scripture; The Case for Traditional Protestantism, and a chapter “The Ebb and Flow of Lectio Continua Bible Reading in the English-Speaking Reformed Churches, 1539-2000,” in The Hope Fulfilled: Essays in Honor of O. Palmer Robertson.
